Our Story - How it all began ?

The moment of revelation....

The plastic bag problem isn’t limited to the streets of Britain, but many of us are unaware how widespread it is. In 2003 one of JuteBag’s directors, visited Kenya and whilst there a tour guide explained how plastic bag litter was affecting wildlife on these Kenyan plains, and he came home determined to take action. His idea became JuteBag, which was established in 2004.

... and a lifetime's commitment!

Having found a business partner, our directors began visiting India to learn about the jute industry. After identifying suitable suppliers, our directors worked with them to build strong relationships and draw up ethical trading policies. The website JuteBag.co.uk was launched, and became an immediate success. With the success of this, our new website EcoDuka.com is launched to offer you the opportunity to buy ecobags at your convenience online. We recently expanded into new warehousing, enabling us to fulfil orders faster. Thank you for reading a little about us.
